President Bola Tinubu has indicated that he will not attend every campaign event organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the lead-up to the 2027 general election. He made this announcement on Wednesday while inaugurating the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja. The President emphasized the importance of governance, economic obligations, and attracting investors over campaign participation.
Tinubu assured Nigerians that he would still find time to address them directly, even as the council coordinated activities at the state and local government levels. He urged the council members to understand that he would be unable to attend every campaign outing, citing Nigeria's financial commitments and obligations to foreign creditors.
The President also emphasized the need for investors to come to Nigeria and make long-term commitments for the country's economic development.
