‘We expect more from the top’: Lisandro Martinez scorches Man United leadership in astonishing interview

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez delivered a scathing interview following the team's 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid. The defeat marked United's continued struggles, with just two wins in their first nine matches of the season and five consecutive losses. The club had spent £148 million on upgrading their midfield in the summer, but failed to strengthen other key areas and were outspent by their rivals.

Martinez directed his criticism at technical director Jason Wilcox and the club's leadership, stating that the players expect more from the top brass. He emphasized the need for the club to show ambition and sign more players to compete with other teams, including Atletico's strong squad. Martinez also acknowledged that Carrick has done his best, but called for changes in other areas of the team, warning that relying on the same manager season after season could be problematic.
