Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough criticized President Trump for importing diesel fuel from Russia, urging him to "stop bowing down" to Russian President Vladimir Putin and "start doing your job." Scarborough questioned Trump's sleep, given his defense of Putin, an ex-KGB agent committing war crimes. He drew historical parallels to the Duke of Windsor's visit to Adolf Hitler in 1937, describing them as "morally vacuous opportunists" who saw a business partner in the tyrant.
Scarborough argued that Trump's deal won't lower gas prices in America, as the first shipment is only 2.2 million barrels, while America burns through more than that daily. He also criticized Trump for aping Putin's talking points and failing to show strength, urging Trump to demonstrate the leadership Americans expect. Scarborough warned Trump that his time to act in Ukraine, a country Trump has always despised, is running out, and advised him to "stop bowing down to Putin and start doing your job."
