Lisandro Martinez issues scathing attack on Man Utd board – has he made things worse?

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez has harshly criticized the club’s management for not strengthening the squad following their Champions League qualification. United’s recent five-game winless streak, ending with a 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid, has raised concerns about the current state of the team. The club's only victories this season were against Sabah FK (Azerbaijan) and Ipswich Town, both of which came after being down to ten men.

United finished third in the Premier League last term, returning to the Champions League for the first time in three years. After Michael Carrick’s two-year interim coaching stint following Ruben Amorim’s dismissal, Martinez expects more investment in the squad, stating, "I expect more [investment]. 100%." Martinez’s comments align with those of other external observers and some within the club, including former players Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young, who believe the remarks could negatively impact team morale.
