Kacey Musgraves Had A Perfect Response To Kristi Noem’s Diss
The post Kacey Musgraves Had A Perfect Response To Kristi Noem’s Diss appeared first on Stereogum .
Kacey Musgraves, the acclaimed country singer, delivered a sharp response to former Homeland Security Secretary and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. Noem had mocked Musgraves in a tweet for her appearance with Texas Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico. The tweet contrasted Musgraves with rising country star Ella Langley and mentioned that Noem would prefer Attorney General Ken Paxton over Talarico.
Musgraves fired back on social media, retorting that she wasn't involved in the political debate but would have shot Noem if she had a dog in the fight. Musgraves, known for her Texan roots and album celebrating TexMex culture, had previously shared stories about fatal encounters with animals in her memoir. The Texas U.S. Senate race remains competitive, with Democratic candidate James Talarico and Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in a close battle.
