HBO Max has green-lit two seasons of a new animated comedy series titled Merrick & Treves. The show was co-created by Archer creatives Adam Reed, Casey Willis, and Lucky Yates, who will also serve as executive producers. Reed, Willis, and Yates expressed their excitement for the project in a press release, praising HBO for providing a platform for the series.
The trio's success in the past, including their work on Archer and Frisky Dingo, has made them highly regarded in the industry. Merrick & Treves is set to be a time-traveling adventure, with a synopsis revealing that it follows a team of unlikely heroes inside Queen Victoria's Royal Temporal Constabulary as they travel through time to stop Jack the Ripper.
The release date for the two-season order has not been announced yet, as the show is still in the early stages of development.
