Gemini app rolling out Gemini 4 Argon to AI Pro and AI Ultra

Google's Gemini app, Antigravity, is expanding its offerings with the introduction of Gemini 4 Argon, a new AI model now accessible to both Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers. Initially available exclusively to Ultra subscribers at a premium ($99.99+), the upgrade promises "frontier reasoning and improved performance across complex workflows."

Users can now seamlessly transition between chatting and coding within the Gemini app on macOS, with direct access to Antigravity's agentic coding interface for app and web development. A new toggle in the main chat window allows users to switch from chat to tasks (previously Spark).

As of now, AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers will encounter a range of models in the model picker, including 3.5 Flash-Lite, 3.8 Flash, 3.1 Pro, and the newly introduced 4 Argon. AI Pro and AI Ultra users can also utilize Gemini 4 Argon in AI Mode.

The Antigravity desktop app and CLI require AI Ultra for accessing Gemini 4 Argon. Additionally, Argon is a prerequisite for the new Gemini 4 models in AI Studio and Android Studio (Canary).

For developers, Google is providing early access to Argon through the Gemini API at a discounted rate of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens until November 30, 2026. Post this period, the pricing will increase to $4 per 1M input tokens and $20 per 1M output tokens.

Google is also offering a unique opportunity for scientists, granting access to the highest usage tier of Antigravity for free for six months. Applications for this program are now open.
