Deliverance AI puts sovereign AI control to the continuity test

Sovereign AI control is emerging as a critical business continuity concern as autonomous agents assume vital enterprise processes. While maintaining data within national boundaries is part of the solution, organizations also require control over agent behavior, external dependencies, and the economics of ensuring system operations.

Mick McNeil, founder and CEO of Deliverance AI Ltd., emphasized that the essence of value and criticality lies not in the model selection, but in the governing layer that oversees these models. McNeil shared his insights with Dave Vellante of theCUBE Research in the "Sovereign AI: From Strategy to Reality" interview series conducted at theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media's livestreaming studio.

Deliverance's control plane monitors agent activities, enforces policies, and offers audit trails and a kill switch. These safeguards help safeguard sensitive data and maintain operational control as agents carry out enterprise workflows. The company collaborates with HPE, deploying a comprehensive capability encompassing storage, network, GPUs, and software directly into the customer's data center.

This ensures that the customer retains complete control over the agentic system's boundaries, enabling true sovereignty over actions and telemetry.

Customer requirements differ across sectors, such as government, defense, pharmaceutical, and financial services. Some customers necessitate air-gapped deployments, while others accept limited external connections, depending on their operating context and the risks they are willing to accept. Deliverance's routing technology accommodates frontier and open-source models, empowering enterprises to select capabilities for specific workflows while planning alternatives in case provider access changes.

McNeil highlighted that with a subscription purchase, customers receive the ability to deploy any model, including frontier and open-source ones, ensuring flexibility amid potential restrictions or alternatives.

Sovereign AI control also raises questions about asset ownership upon supplier relationships' termination. Customers retain ownership of agents, integrations, audit trails, and learned insights, although transferring these assets between platforms remains a separate challenge. Though agentic organizations can port agents between platforms, the market has yet to establish a comprehensive framework. Deliverance is pioneering this thought leadership.

Model routing supports cost management by aligning AI model capabilities and expenses with specific workloads. Deliverance evaluates where agents can enhance business performance, distinguishing productivity gains from measurable financial outcomes. McNeil explained that deploying agents and AI at scale helps defer future costs, leading to clear and impactful financial results.

Deliverance joined HPE's Unleash AI partner program to introduce its agentic operating system to HPE Private Cloud AI, co-developed with Nvidia Corp. Embedded engineers maintain the platform and build workflows, while strategic value advisors assist customers in prioritizing opportunities based on return on investment, time to value, and risk.

Deliverance aims to launch a joint solution, HPE's sovereign agentic knowledge engagement, enabling customers to deploy a full-stack agentic operating system into their environment within 90 days, ensuring a sovereign deployment process. McNeil emphasized that enabling enterprises to move swiftly, trust the technology, workflows, and agents is crucial to their global growth and prosperity.
