Apple Seeds Fourth macOS Golden Gate 27.2 Beta to Developers

Apple has released the fourth developer beta for macOS 27.2 Golden Gate, paving the way for its official arrival in the near future. The company has returned to a weekly schedule, filling the two-week gap between beta versions 2 and 3. macOS 27.2 beta 4 brings a lighter set of features compared to its predecessors. The most significant addition is the expansion of Siri AI's language capabilities, adding support for five new languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.

This follows Siri's initial English-only rollout last month with the macOS 27 Golden Gate release. Siri AI in the upcoming macOS 27.2 Golden Gate will now communicate in multiple languages, fulfilling Apple's promise made during the Surprise and Shine event earlier this year. Alongside the language enhancements, an intriguing feature discovered in macOS 27.2 beta 3 is the introduction of new gesture recognition tools in several pre-installed applications.

This could indicate Apple's plans for a touchscreen MacBook Pro, which are anticipated to be announced later this month, with the device expected to launch around October 27. Additionally, Apple is rumored to introduce a new iPad mini featuring an OLED display, as well as updated iMac and entry-level MacBook Pro models equipped with the M6 chip.

The release build for today's macOS 27.2 beta 4 is 26B5112a, suggesting it may be the final developer release before the first release candidate. As I delve deeper into the system, I will report any noteworthy findings. For those interested in installing macOS 27.2 beta 4, check the instructions provided in the source.
