Apple Releases Fourth iOS 27.2 Beta

Apple has released the fourth beta of iOS 27.2 to developers, following the recent release of the third beta. This update is accompanied by a new iPadOS 27.2 beta. Developers can download these beta updates by signing up under the Settings > General > Software Update section and selecting the iOS 27 developer beta.

The iOS 27.2 update introduces Apple's redesigned Health app, featuring new Insight and Longevity tabs. Additionally, Siri AI capabilities have been expanded to support new languages. The update also brings several other new features, the details of which can be found in Apple's features guide.

Interestingly, Apple is releasing the iOS 27.2 beta ahead of the iOS 27.1 beta, which is unusual as the company plans to ship the iPhone Duo with the iOS 27.1 update. However, it is likely that Apple wants to keep some of the iPhone Duo features hidden for a longer period. The iPhone Duo is set to launch on October 23, and Apple stated that the new Siri AI languages in iOS 27.2 would be available in October, suggesting that iOS 27.2 will be released shortly after the iPhone Duo's release.

iOS 27.2 is also necessary for the new HomeView feature. For more information, readers can refer to our iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 roundups. This article on Apple's fourth iOS 27.2 beta first appeared on MacRumors.com.
