TH buka semula perkhidmatan, 3 fungsi THiJARI masih tergendala

All branches of the Tabung Haji (TH) have resumed operations since yesterday following the restoration of its systems. PETALING JAYA: The Tabung Haji (TH) has reopened its main services and system after a cyber attack temporarily halted operations on October 8th last year, but three THiJARI functions remain impaired. TH stated that the three affected functions involve resetting of login credentials, registration of new users, and in-browser account opening which still require further restoration actions.

According to them, the system and main services resumed operation after a comprehensive safety check, reinforced control and recovery actions were carried out. TH branches in Kedah, Terengganu and Kelantan resumed operations starting Sunday, October 11th, while all branches in other states reopened as usual today. Services through TH's strategic partner banks have also resumed, it said in a statement.

TH explained, the decision to temporarily halt operations in all channels on October 8th was made to safeguard the deposits and personal information from a cyber attack on its system. They said, the internal TH team worked together with foreign experts and national cybersecurity authorities to investigate the incident, handle the threat and restore the system.

TH also filed a police report and informed the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and Personal Data Protection Department (JPDP) about the incident. TH assures that the deposited funds are safe. Continuous monitoring and safety reinforcement will be carried out to ensure the revived system and services operate safely and smoothly, it said.

TH also apologizes for the inconvenience faced by depositors and asks them to promptly report any suspicious transactions or unusual matters in their respective accounts. Depositors needing assistance or further clarification can contact TH's Customer Relationship Center at 03-6207 1919.
