Stanbic Bank launches ‘Be Powered’ campaign to drive Ghana’s green future

Stanbic Bank Ghana Ltd. has unveiled its "Be Powered" campaign, aimed at promoting the adoption of renewable energy and sustainable mobility across the country. This initiative is supported by the bank's recently introduced Solar and Electric Vehicle (EV) Finance Solution, which offers customized financing options to facilitate investments in green technologies among individuals, businesses, and institutions.

The campaign aligns with the Standard Bank Group's "Think Green. Go Blue" agenda, emphasizing the bank's dedication to sustainability and Africa's transition to a more resilient and eco-friendly future.

Dinah Kaleo-Bioh, the Head of Business & Commercial Banking, emphasized the significance of sustainable growth during the campaign launch. She stated that Stanbic Bank's purpose is to foster Africa's development through sustainable, inclusive, and value-creating solutions. The Solar and EV Finance Solution, she explained, aims to address the primary challenge of financing, making clean energy and sustainable transport investments more accessible to the public and businesses.

Chidinma Braye-Yankee, the Head of Brand & Marketing, described the "Be Powered" campaign as a movement to ignite action and awareness. She acknowledged that while there is growing interest in sustainability, many perceive renewable energy as complex or out of reach. The campaign seeks to educate, empower, and illustrate that sustainable solutions are not only possible but attainable today.

The initiative unites Stanbic Bank's various banking divisions—Business & Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Personal & Private Banking—to provide financing and advisory solutions to clients across all segments. By promoting the wider adoption of renewable energy and sustainable mobility, Stanbic Bank aims to enhance energy security, business resilience, and economic growth.
