Plateau United's technical advisor, Gbenga Ogunbote, has downplayed his team's recent 4-0 victory over Kano Pillars, according to DAILY POST. The Peace Boys dominated Daniel Ogunmodede's side at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday, marking Kano Pillars' first loss in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.
Paul Samson, Ekundayo Ojo, Samuel Ayanrinde, and Nenrot Silas were the scorers for the home team in the match. Ogunbote cautioned his players to maintain humility despite their triumph. "The league is a marathon, we won't allow it to get into our heads. This is just one out of the 38 matches we are going to play this season," he said to reporters after the game. "But it is a good one for us, but I can assure that the supporters too will be happy at the end of the season."
Plateau United will face Sporting Lagos in their next fixture.
