Ashwin on New Zealand tour, RoKo and more

India are set to face a formidable challenge in their upcoming tour of New Zealand, according to former off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. The five-match T20I series, five ODI series and two Test series will provide a tough test for the Indian team, who currently sit fifth in the World Test Championship (WTC) points table. Ashwin believes that the New Zealand seam attack and their familiarity with home conditions will make the tour challenging for India.

However, he stresses that India has enough talent to bounce back from difficult situations. The ODI series will also help assess the fast bowling resources available to India, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar making a comeback in the T20 setup. Ashwin highlights the importance of the upcoming tour, stating that a positive result, even one Test win, would be a significant success for India.
