The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has rebuked former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar for addressing President Bola Tinubu by his first name, 'Bola'. The spokesman for the APC PCC, Dele Alake, stated in a statement on Monday that Atiku's decision to call the President 'Bola' demonstrates a lack of respect and decorum expected from a former vice-president and presidential candidate.
Atiku has consistently referred to Tinubu as 'Bola', criticized his administration as a "Yahoo Yahoo" government, and accused him of lying, including insinuating that Tinubu did not attend school. The APC PCC has urged its members and supporters to maintain respect for Atiku as a former vice-president and presidential candidate, despite the controversy.
The council emphasized that its campaign will focus on issues affecting Nigerians, President Tinubu's achievements, and the administration's efforts to transition Nigeria from reforms to prosperity.
