Police arrest four suspects in Kano, recover three stolen vehicles

The Kano State Police Command arrested four suspects and recovered three stolen vehicles during separate operations conducted between October 8 and 9, 2026. According to Daily Post Nigeria, the operations were led by Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori as part of efforts to combat vehicle theft using technical support, intelligence gathering, and public cooperation.

The recovered vehicles included a Toyota Corolla, a Hiace bus, and a Canter truck, as reported by both Punch and Daily Post Nigeria. Daily Post Nigeria noted that the first case involved an ash-coloured 2010 Toyota Corolla belonging to Aminu Yahaya. The vehicle was allegedly diverted by Sale Usman, also known as Dambu, and later recovered from a man identified as Sulaiman in Katsina State. Sulaiman claimed he had purchased the car for N7.5 million.

In a separate operation, two suspects were arrested following the October 5 theft of a white Toyota Hiace minibus from Singer Market. The minibus belonged to Isah Abdullahi of Bachirawa Quarters.
