Mark Zuckerberg has paid almost double the listed price for Gothic Castle in Ireland

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have acquired Strancally Castle in County Waterford for more than €51 million. The couple plans to use the castle as a family residence during visits to Ireland. This historic property, originally built around 1830, includes a substantial 440-acre estate. The previous owners, Michael and Giancarla Alen-Buckley, invested in extensive restorations over 25 years.
