Fasa 1 PLSB Sg Golok siap Julai 2027

Fasa 1 of the Sungai Golok Integrated Floating Village (PLSB) project in Malaysia is on track to be completed by July 2027, according to the Ministry of Power, Petroleum and Transformation (Petra). The project has reached 73.01% physical completion and is expected to be fully finished on schedule.

The Fasa 1 project involves the construction of flood barriers in Sungai Golok, Sungai Lemal Lanchang and Sungai Mentua, as well as a gate house at Kuala Jambu, five control houses for the Gerakan Am Movement (PGA) and a Multi-Tech Bridge (MTB). In Fasa 2, Petra estimates that the project will be 3.16% complete by October 2028. The second phase focuses on building a dual-function wall for flood protection and safety, raising the left bank of Sungai Lemal Lanchang, constructing housing and control houses for the military and PGA.

Fasa 3, which focuses on raising six sections of the project, including Sungai Pengkalan Nangka, Sungai Meranti, Alor Mengkuang, Sungai Lanas, Sungai Golok and Lake To Uban, has reached 24.18% physical completion and is scheduled for completion in April 2029. Petra says that adjustments in project scope and design are among the factors that affect the project's timeline and overall cost.

These changes are made based on climate change, infrastructure needs, real-life conditions at the site, and the requests of local residents.

Petra emphasizes that the project will be carried out in line with Malaysia's Madani values, ensuring that the project is carried out with quiet, responsible management, prioritizing safety and the well-being of the people. Close coordination between the federal government through Petra and JPS, as well as the state government of Kelantan, continues to strengthen to ensure that issues related to the project can be effectively and efficiently handled.
