Blue Parijaat Foundation: Growing Goodness Through Education, Learning And Community Engagement (VIDEO)

“Let’s grow goodness” is the guiding philosophy of the Blue Parijaat Foundation. The idea is rooted in a simple observation: while there are people who need support and others who genuinely want to help, many do not know how to find meaningful avenues to contribute. The Blue Parijaat Foundation (BPF) follows the guiding principle of "Let’s grow goodness," aiming to bridge the gap between those in need of support and those who want to help but lack meaningful avenues to contribute. Founded by Manvi Singh, BPF was established to create opportunities for individuals to give back to their communities.

Rooted in the idea of goodness that extends beyond social support to include growth and greenery, BPF’s Project Vijeta was launched around 2020 in response to economic uncertainty that led many students to lose their jobs and incomes. The project supports students pursuing professional courses in fields such as medicine, physiotherapy, pharmacy, paramedical studies, engineering, and software-related fields.

Beneficiaries include a doctor, a physiotherapist, a pharmacist, a paramedical student, two civil engineers, and software professionals.

Beyond financial assistance, BPF provides students with skill development in areas such as self-awareness, financial and legal awareness, self-management, and responsible decision-making. Monthly sessions are held to cover these topics, ensuring students receive comprehensive support. Although most students are based in Mumbai, BPF has also helped students from Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Bengal.

To make learning engaging for children, BPF operates a centre called Learning Adda in Karjat, catering to students from classes 1 to 7. The centre uses resources like storybooks, a laptop for audiovisual stories, dance songs, and teaching aids to make lessons accessible and enjoyable. The philosophy behind Learning Adda is "Teach the way I can learn, rather than learn the way I teach," emphasizing the importance of tailoring teaching methods to the needs of each child.

Dr. Smriti Jha, a Senior Radiologist at Apollo Hospital, praises Manvi Singh’s dedication to education and the transformative impact of her work. She shares stories of beneficiaries who have gone on to become doctors, highlighting the positive change BPF has brought to their lives. Dr. Jha emphasizes how BPF helps restore young people's confidence in themselves, which they may have forgotten, ultimately opening up life-changing opportunities.
