Aishwarya Lekshmi quit Instagram due to ‘AI edits’: ‘Was done with it’

Aishwarya Lekshmi, a 34-year-old actress, decided to leave Instagram over a year ago due to her distaste for AI-generated edits of her images. Despite her management team's objections, she explained to SCREEN that she disliked the possibility of her pictures being used as backdrops for such edits. However, she acknowledged that this issue continues to occur online even though she is no longer exposed to it.

Aishwarya felt she had had enough of the chaos and decided to take a step back, stating that she did not want to contribute to further disturbances. While this decision may have resulted in some lost brand deals, she believes it has benefited her career as an actor by removing the pressure to constantly perform and maintain a positive image on social media.

Aishwarya claims that the removal of this pressure has made her more confident in herself and her abilities. Currently, she has no intention of returning to Instagram anytime soon.
