Tinubu inaugurates APC presidential campaign council October 14

President Bola Tinubu plans to formally launch the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council on October 14 in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Key figures such as former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Dr Betta Edu, and other influential party members are expected to take on significant roles in the council.

The inauguration ceremony will be held at the Presidential Villa's Banquet Hall in Abuja. Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Yari, announced this during a meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa. According to Yari, the President has approved the campaign timetable, which begins with a rally in Kaduna on October 24, followed by events in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

Prior to the inauguration, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, along with Dr Betta Edu and other campaign council members, has already initiated grassroots mobilization efforts targeting women across the country. The campaign team aims to mobilize 40 million women voters for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket by engaging 176,846 communities and polling-unit structures in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
