One Knox clinched the playoffs. Now it wants postseason soccer in Knoxville
One Knox has clinched a playoff spot, but Sunday's match against Spokane could help determine whether postseason soccer returns to Knoxville.
One Knox SC has secured a playoff spot and is now seeking to host postseason soccer in Knoxville. The defending USL League One champions are currently in fourth place, the last position that guarantees a home game in the first match of the postseason. They will face Spokane Velocity FC in a critical match on Oct. 11 at Covenant Health Park.
A win would create a seven-point gap between Knoxville and Spokane, potentially securing their playoff host status. One Knox's coach, Ian Fuller, emphasized the importance of the match, stating that securing points at home is crucial to push for the playoffs. The team has shown strong form recently, including a win against Spokane in the 2025 USL League One title match.
Hosting the playoffs would be significant for One Knox, considering their undefeated home record during the championship run last season. For the fans, a home playoff game would provide an exciting opportunity to cheer on the team in a familiar environment.
