Jailer 2 ticket price hike in AP; Rs 50 increase in single screens, Rs 75 in multiplexes

On October 15, the Andhra Pradesh government granted permission for a ticket price increase to Jailer 2 starring Rajinikanth. Single-screen theatres may charge Rs 50 more than standard admission rates, while multiplexes can charge Rs 75 above individual prices. This price hike is only for five showings per day between October 15 and October 21.

The state's ticket pricing system is controlled by the government, with separate caps for single screens and multiplexes. Any price increase above these caps requires official approval. In contrast, neighboring Telangana operates under a similar but separate system, while most other states have market-driven ticket pricing. Mythri Movie Makers' upcoming film, Ranabaali, will be sold at standard ticket prices on October 16 in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
