Rosalía Shuts Down Kenan Thompson’s Idea for a Pop-Classical Album in Hilarious ‘SNL’ Promo: ‘That’s LUX’
The singer is returning to Saturday Night Live as musical guest alongside host Shane Gillis.
Kenan Thompson pitched an idea for a pop-classical album to Rosalía, which she had already created. In a promo for Saturday Night Live, Thompson suggested various things for Shane Gillis, only to find out they had already been done. Thompson brought up his idea for an album blending pop and classical music in 14 languages, to which Rosalía matter-of-factly replied, "That's LUX, my album.
I already made that. Sorry." Rosalía's album LUX made a significant impact on the Billboard charts, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and also topping five Billboard charts.
