Parma vs Inter: Provedel Return Signals Goalkeeper Rotation

Ivan Provedel is set to make his debut for Inter Milan against Parma at San Siro this Saturday, as Cristian Chivu plans to rotate his goalkeepers in the following two matches. According to Football Italia, Josep Martinez is expected to take a break after starting every competitive match for the Nerazzurri thus far. Provedel, who joined Inter from Lazio for €3 million this summer, could provide experienced cover behind the starting goalkeeper Josep Martinez, who recently took over from his No. 2 role last season.

His return comes after a shoulder injury and surgery ended his Lazio season following his last official appearance on March 4. Chivu's rotation plan is not a permanent team change, but rather an opportunity for Provedel to demonstrate his abilities while Martinez remains ready to resume his position for Inter's upcoming Champions League match against Club Brugge on Tuesday, October 13.
