Nobel Prizes: Who will receive the Nobel Peace Prize?
The Peace Nobel Prize is considered the world's most important award. Trump has been eyeing the prize for a while now. However, the Norwegian Nobel jury is likely to have other candidates in mind.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee will announce this year's Peace Prize winner today, choosing from 287 candidates, including US President Donald Trump. The prize, worth 12 million Swedish kronor, is considered the world's most prestigious award. Experts believe the committee will try to avoid controversy and choose a less divisive candidate, such as humanitarian organizations like Save the Children or the Emergency Response Rooms in Sudan. The prize will be awarded on December 10 in Oslo, Norway.
