Man City will win appeal over financial charges, says Maresca

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca expressed absolute confidence in the club's ability to overturn a recent financial appeal decision, stemming from allegations of breaking Premier League rules with over 100 breaches. The Italian boss, appointed in June, also dismisses the notion that the club's trophy-winning history over the past 15 years is now compromised.

Maresca emphasized his trust in the club's ownership, CEO, sporting director, and organization, stating he has no doubts about their integrity. The club, found guilty of arranging "sham" contracts to inflate revenues and cut costs, is appealing the verdict and faces potential severe penalties, including relegation or expulsion from the Premier League.

Despite the recent setback, Maresca remains optimistic, highlighting the team's current top position in the league and the players' enthusiasm to face their upcoming match against Liverpool.
