Man City will win appeal over financial charges, says Maresca

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has expressed his confidence that the club will win its appeal against over 100 breaches of Premier League financial rules. According to Maresca, he and the players are focused on their football schedule, including upcoming matches against Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.

Maresca stated that he has absolute faith in the club and its leadership, saying he trusts the owner, CEO, and sporting director. He emphasized that the team's attention is on matters within their control on the pitch. The manager also mentioned that the players are excited about the upcoming fixtures, particularly since City is currently top of the league.

An independent commission previously found Manchester City guilty of arranging "sham" contracts with commercial partners to artificially inflate revenues and reduce costs by over £900 million between 2009 and 2018. The club is appealing against the judgement, with Maresca indicating that he believes they will be successful.
