Man City players focused, excited ahead of Liverpool, PSG tests — Maresca

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has stated that his players are focused on their upcoming matches, despite the "noise" surrounding the club. City will face Liverpool in the Premier League and later host Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Maresca emphasized that the club has been clear in its position and that the players trust its leadership.

The manager expressed calmness and assured that they are only concerned with matters within their control, which is the football side of the game. The players are excited for the two games, particularly as City is currently top of the league. While acknowledging the noise surrounding the club, Maresca stated that the players concentrate on their professional responsibilities and are not worried about external issues.

This comes amid controversy over Manchester City's Premier League financial rules case, with an independent commission finding the club guilty of 114 of 115 charges related to alleged breaches between 2009 and 2018. However, the club has denied wrongdoing and is appealing the decision, with sanctions still pending.
