Anthony Vaccarello exits Saint Laurent after a decade

Kering, the parent company of luxury fashion brand Saint Laurent, has officially announced that creative director Anthony Vaccarello has left the company after a ten-year tenure. In a statement, the company praised Vaccarello for his pivotal role in shaping Saint Laurent's development and its impact on fashion and culture. He was credited with elevating the house to the forefront of desirability and image, achieving exceptional work both creatively and through his cultural influence.

Under Vaccarello's guidance, Saint Laurent experienced significant growth, with revenue tripling to €3.3 billion during his leadership. The designer introduced a distinctive aesthetic that combined the house's signature codes with greater color, volume, and sensuality. His final Paris show in September 2025 showcased gilded looks that faded into darkness, marking a farewell to the label.

Saint Laurent president and CEO Cedric Charbit expressed his gratitude, noting Vaccarello's decade-long dedication to the company. Kering CEO Luca de Meo echoed these sentiments, highlighting Vaccarello's contribution to the enduring influence of one of France's greatest couture houses as they move forward to the next chapter.

As Kering undergoes an 18-month overhaul to revitalize its brands, the company has yet to announce a successor to Vaccarello. Notably, Chemena Kamali, currently creative director of Chloe, has been mentioned as a potential contender for the role.
