Russia Preparing Series Of Information Special Operations Regarding The Situation In Oleshky — SSU

Russia has intensified its preparations for a series of information-psychological special operations concerning the temporary occupation of Oleshky in Kherson region. Ukraine's Security Service (SSU) has raised the alarm about this. The SSU discovered this information during its counterintelligence activities. According to operational data, personnel from a single Russian unit have been instructed to prepare a sequence of damaging interviews with residents of Oleshky.

In these videos, as per the Russians' strategy, the local inhabitants are expected to blame Ukraine's Defense Forces for repeated shelling and blockade of the city, cast doubt on decisions made by Ukraine's military-political leadership, and display a favorable outlook towards and appreciation for Russian forces. The SSU predicts that this hostile IPSO will take place between October and early November.

It should be noted that the aggressor has experienced no battlefield successes, so it is resorting to any means to degrade Ukrainians' mental state and destabilize conditions within our nation, according to the SSU. Consequently, the security service has urged representatives of Ukrainian media and citizens to exercise caution when encountering purported 'compelling' information, refrain from spreading unverified data, and trust only official sources.

Previously, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine reported that no food supplies had arrived in Oleshky since May 26. According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian forces are holding approximately 2,000 individuals hostage in Oleshky, of which nearly fifty are children. They are compelled to endure without food, electricity, and water.
