Colombian fintech Fronte raises pre-seed round led by Rally Cap VC and Bankless Ventures

Colombian fintech startup Fronte has launched a pre-seed funding round, with Rally Cap VC and Bankless Ventures at the helm. Additional participation came from Base Ecosystem Fund and angel investors. The company is in the process of building a financial platform aimed at assisting families spread across various countries in handling shared household expenses, coordinating payments, and establishing a cohesive financial record to facilitate credit access.

Fronte's platform monitors expenses like utilities, groceries, education, healthcare, and rent. In instances where payments are late, the platform offers options for family members to assist in covering the cost or to substitute payment methods. With the recently acquired funding, Fronte plans to further develop its platform and expand its workforce within Bogotá.

To gauge market interest, Fronte conducted a survey of approximately 1,000 households receiving remittances. The findings revealed that two-thirds of these households received contributions from at least two individuals, while 46% had encountered credit denials despite maintaining consistent financial assistance.
