Apple Announces Next ‘Welcome Home’ Special Event on Oct. 13
The company is expected to release a new HomePod and Apple TV next week.
Apple is set to host a special event on October 13, 2023, at 9 a.m. ET in New York, according to invitations recently distributed. The "Welcome Home" theme implies the unveiling of several new Home products, according to an intriguing video shared by Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. Joswiak's clip features a time-lapse of needlepointing Apple's logo, and the date is subtly integrated into the design.
The anticipated new Home hub is rumored to bear a design reminiscent of the old iMac G4, which was shaped like the lamp from Pixar's Luxo, Jr. short from 1986. Additionally, there might be updates to the HomePod mini and Apple TV set-top box, featuring enhanced hardware for AI functionality and a broader color palette, including pink and green options.
