Tinubu will win 2027 election by bigger margin — Presidential aide

Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu's Special Adviser on Policy Communication, has forecasted a larger victory margin for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election compared to his win in 2023. Bwala confidently stated this during an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday. He emphasized that the gap between Tinubu and his competitors would be significantly larger than in the previous election.

Tinubu's 2023 victory came with 8,794,726 votes, outpacing his main opponents Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi by 1.81 million and 2.69 million votes, respectively. Bwala's optimism stems from the growing support for Tinubu among governors who were elected on opposition party platforms and expects more such governors to back Tinubu in the 2027 election. This prediction is his political assessment of the upcoming elections, not a confirmed outcome.
