Tinubu will win 2027 election by bigger margin — Presidential aide

Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has forecasted that the President will achieve an even larger victory margin in the 2027 presidential election compared to his 2023 win. Speaking on Wednesday, Bwala confidently stated that the gap between Tinubu and his opponents would be so significant that it would be unbelievable.

Tinubu secured 8,794,726 votes in the 2023 election, winning by a margin of 1.81 million votes over the Peoples Democratic Party's Atiku Abubakar and 2.69 million votes over the Labour Party's Peter Obi. Bwala's optimism stems from the growing support for Tinubu among governors who were elected on opposition party platforms. Several governors have since defected to the All Progressives Congress.

Bwala anticipates even more governors to back Tinubu in the 2027 election than in the 2023 contest. As political parties and candidates gear up for the upcoming general elections, Bwala's prediction reflects his political assessment rather than a confirmed election result.
