Unidentified corpse found in Plateau community

An unidentified man, whose exact date of death remains unknown, was discovered behind the Monday Market in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State. The deceased's body was found by members of the community early on Tuesday, who promptly alerted security personnel. Police officers arrived at the scene and transported the body to General Hospital in Pankshin, where attempts were made to identify the victim and locate his family.

Panshak Rogo, a local community source, spoke to reporters at the hospital, stating that the deceased's identity had not been established as of yet. Rogo expressed his dismay, saying that some sensitive organs had been removed from the body, including the man's ears, nose, and private part. He appealed to the public to report to the police, specifically at the Pankshin Police Station, if they possess any relatives who might be missing, in hopes of identifying the corpse.

The Plateau State Police Command's spokesperson, SP Alabo Alfred, did not provide a response to interview requests.
