Jaguars keep climbing in NFL power rankings entering Week 5
Jacksonville is the best team in the AFC, some are saying.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have been steadily climbing the NFL power rankings as the regular season reaches its midway point. After a strong showing in Week 4, the team now sits at 3-1 on the season and appears poised to secure the top seed in the AFC. Safety Antonio Johnson told reporters they don't care about the accolades, but will continue to "impose our will" on opponents.
Sports Illustrated rated the Jaguars second in the rankings, up from fifth last week. Pro Football Talk and Yahoo Sports both placed the team third. ESPN and CBS Sports rated the Jaguars fifth. The Jaguars' defense has been particularly impressive, ranking among the top eight in the NFL in several key categories.
