A quarter of the way through the NFL season, Nate Tice and Ben Solak of Football 301 awarded MVP, best rookies, surprises, and disappointments across the league. They began by discussing the Atlanta Falcons' impressive victory over the New Orleans Saints, praising their dominant run game and considering the Saints' current 1-3 record.
The hosts then shared their biggest surprises in the quarter-season, including the Las Vegas Raiders defense, the 3-1 Cleveland Browns, the unstoppable San Francisco 49ers offense, and the impressive 4-0 Minnesota Vikings. Next, they addressed the biggest disappointments, highlighting the 0-4 Houston Texans and the winless Los Angeles Chargers.
They also shared player-specific awards, such as top rookies (shoutout to Denzel Boston), MVP so far, and a runaway Defensive Player of the Year pick. In the end, Nate and Ben provided their top-5 power rankings for both the AFC and NFC, a challenging task given how tight both conferences are at the top.
