Former Indian cricket captain Rahul Dravid has given his verdict on whether Virat Kohli could become a Bollywood star. Speaking to BBC Asian Network alongside Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, Dravid highlighted Kohli's exceptional mimicry skills in his early days in the Indian dressing room. Dravid explained, "I think Virat has got a tremendous ability to mimic."
Furthermore, he pointed out that Kohli's extensive experience in advertisements has made him "pretty much a pro" in front of the camera. The conversation then shifted to the actor wife of Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, with the interviewer suggesting she could offer him some acting advice. Dravid was then queried about whether he had any aspirations to act in films.
He chuckled, responding that he had already identified his strengths and had no intention of attempting an acting career. Kohli, though not an accomplished Bollywood actor, has demonstrated a comfort with the camera, appearing in numerous commercial campaigns and sharing the screen with his wife Anushka in commercials. His journey began when he first met Anushka while shooting an advertisement together, eventually leading to their relationship blossoming off-screen.
Dravid ruled out pursuing an acting career himself, stating that he knew his strengths and had no desire to embarrass himself in front of the camera.
