No support for multiple profiles in Chrome? Ouch.

Chrome on Googlebooks lacks this key feature seen on Chrome OS, iOS, and almost everywhere else

Googlebooks, a hybrid between Chrome OS and Android, has been launched with its Googlebook OS platform. However, this new operating system lacks a key feature seen on Chrome OS, iOS, and almost every other platform - multiple profiles in the Chrome browser. Despite Chrome OS offering this functionality for years, Googlebooks does not support it.

I've had the opportunity to review the Googlebook 14, an ASUS model of the new platform, alongside colleague Paul Jones. We've found that the Chrome browser on Googlebooks does not allow users to switch between profiles. Clicking the profile image at the top of the browser merely takes you to the Chrome account settings page. There is no option to switch accounts within this page.

Similarly, the three-dot menu doesn't list your profile with an option to switch accounts. This absence of a feature that is commonly available on other platforms is a notable weakness inherited from the smartphone version of Chrome.
