13 Record Store Day Releases Actually Worth Getting on Black Friday

Record Store Day 2026 promises a remarkable lineup of exclusive vinyl releases for independent record stores on Black Friday, November 27. The exclusive offerings include live collections from popular bands, such as Skid Row's "Live at the Moscow Music Peace Festival" and Frank Black's "Teenager Of The Year" reissue. Weeners fans are particularly excited for Shinola, Vol. 2, a 2xLP featuring previously unreleased outtakes and rare B-sides from the band's extensive discography.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are introducing their latest addition to the Bootlegger series, "Expand Your Mind: Songs In 3D," a groundbreaking 3D Zoetrope record capturing live performances from Bulgaria. The collection comes with 3D glasses to enhance the immersive experience. TV Girl is offering their entire catalog on a single CD, titled "Four Classic Albums."

J.I.D will release audio from his NPR Tiny Desk concert, while Daryl "DMC" McDaniels of Run-DMC is collaborating with esteemed musicians, including Sebastian Bach, Mick Mars, Duff McKagan, and Travis Barker, to create the EP "America." A variety of live albums featuring legendary artists like Prince, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Tweedy, Marianne Faithfull, Funkadelic, Billy Joel, Brigitte, and the Old '97s are also in the works.

Moreover, jazz icons Stan Getz, Charlie Parker, and Bill Evans will join the exclusive RSD Black Friday lineup. Regrettably, no 20th-anniversary edition of Clipse's "Hell Hath No Fury" is expected, as it turns 20 during that weekend. However, other notable releases include music from Noah Kahan, KATSEYE, Masayoshi Takanaka, and many more.
