Taylor Swift, The Beatles, Elvis & More Artists With the Most Weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200: Full List
Will Swift eventually equal or top the Fab Four's record?
Taylor Swift has achieved a career-high of 99 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, following her return to the top spot with The Life of a Showgirl. This surpasses both Whitney Houston's record of 46 weeks as the top female artist and Elvis Presley's 67 weeks as the top solo artist. The Beatles hold the record for the most weeks at No. 1 by a group or solo artist, with 132 weeks from February 1964 to February 2001.
Swift has expressed admiration for Paul McCartney, congratulating him on his album The Boys of Dungeon Lane and inviting him to her wedding. Elvis Presley's impressive run on the Billboard 200 includes his debut album, which entered the chart at No. 11 in March 1956, two years after the chart's launch. Notably, the Bee Gees' Saturday Night Fever soundtrack held the No. 1 spot for 24 consecutive weeks in 1978, though it is considered a multi-artist soundtrack album in Billboard's rankings.
