Stewart Cink reveals what most players really think about Rory McIlroy ‘for good reason’

Stewart Cink has praised Rory McIlroy's remarkable career, describing him as a rare figure in the history of golf. Cink, who was the final player to appear in the 2010 Ryder Cup, pointed out that McIlroy faced the most pressure in golf history with his par putt on the 18th hole during the 2014 Masters. This moment saw McIlroy miss the putt by just a few feet, yet still go on to win the tournament in a playoff.

Cink expressed his pride in McIlroy's achievement, noting that it's something not many golfers have accomplished. The two golfers met in three out of the four matches at the 2010 Ryder Cup, with Cink ultimately coming out as the only unbeaten player after facing McIlroy. Cink hinted that he could lead the US team as a vice-captain next year, should the opportunity present itself.
