Ronaldo can return to Portugal team if he wants: coach Jesus
Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo can return to the squad if he wishes, despite walking out on his team-mates, said national team coach Jorge Jesus on Sunday."Cristiano should end his time in the national team the way he wants, he's the one who will decide how he wants it," said Jesus.
Portugal coach Jorge Jesus stated that Cristiano Ronaldo can return to the national team if he wishes, despite Ronaldo's recent walkout. Jesus explained that the dispute arose after Ronaldo was left on the bench for Portugal's 1-0 win over Norway, which qualified the team for the Nations League quarter-finals. Ronaldo subsequently refused to play against Denmark.
Jesus affirmed that if Ronaldo desires it, he will be part of the squad for upcoming matches in November. Ronaldo, Portugal's leading scorer and all-time most-capped player, has indicated this may be his final year in professional football.
