Ronaldo can return to Portugal team if he wants - Coach Jesus
PORTO: Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo can return to the squad if he wishes, despite walking out on his team-mates, said national team coach Jorge Jesus on Sunday.
Portugal's national team coach Jorge Jesus has stated that superstar Cristiano Ronaldo can return to the squad if he desires, despite Ronaldo's recent absence from the team. Jesus explained that Ronaldo walked out on the squad after learning he wouldn't start against Denmark. The coach emphasized that Ronaldo's decision to return is ultimately his own, but he would welcome the opportunity to speak with him before Portugal's next matches in November.
Ronaldo, Portugal's all-time leading scorer and most-capped player, has expressed that this may be his final year in football.
