Pjanic expresses regret over Ronaldo's situation with Portugal

Miralem Pjanic, the former Juventus and Bosnia player, has expressed his disappointment over the current discord between Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portugal national team coaching staff. Speaking to Portuguese publication A Bola, Pjanic stressed the importance of respecting the decisions made by the coaching team, stating that neither Jorge Jesus nor Ronaldo should be the sole target of criticism.

Pjanic highlighted that Ronaldo possesses a formidable competitive spirit, and he doesn’t view age as a barrier to his participation. Instead, the player’s readiness and condition are the deciding factors. He added that Ronaldo maintains the belief that he is always fit to play.

However, Pjanic acknowledged that the coach might have a contrasting perspective, hence the need for mutual respect and understanding. He cautions against placing the blame solely on one individual, urging all parties to find a solution that respects the legacy of the revered player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
