Hawa Koomson elected NPP National Women’s Organiser with over 700 votes

Mavis Hawa Koomson, the newly elected National Women's Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pledged to utilize her experience and maturity as she takes charge of the party's women's wing. She won the position after a close contest, defeating her opponent Hajia Safia Mohammed, who graciously congratulated her on her success.

Koomson, a former Awutu Senya East Member of Parliament, expressed her appreciation to her supporters and the party's election committee for their role in her victory. She also recognized the efforts of other party leaders and officials who made the election process smooth. When asked about her vision for the Women's Organiser position, Koomson highlighted her experience and maturity as the qualities she brings to the role.

Her election marks her as the party's primary coordinator for women's structures and activities at both grassroots and national levels, as the NPP commences operations under a new executive team following their recent delegates conference.
