Without Alexia Putellas, Barcelona trounced Real Madrid in an historic El Clásico at the Camp Nou. This was the team's fifth consecutive victory against their rivals, following the departure of Putellas to the London City Lionesses this summer. Despite lacking their all-time leading scorer, Barcelona remains a world apart from Real, a gap made even clearer by their 7-0 victory.
Under the leadership of Patri and the impressive performance of Pina, the gap was so vast that the score was 5-0 at halftime, with the stadium often fluctuating before the team even left the locker room. The final 7-0 result pushed Barcelona five points ahead of Real in the league standings, with only six matches played so far. This victory emphasizes the significant distance between the reigning and challenging champions.
