Kyle Shanahan passes Bill Walsh today for most games as 49ers coach
In his tenth season as head coach of the 49ers, Kyle Shanahan is to become the coach with the most total games in franchise history.
Kyle Shanahan is set to surpass Bill Walsh as the 49ers coach with the most games in franchise history, having completed his 167th game, including playoffs, in his tenth season. With 94 wins under his belt, Shanahan trails Bill Walsh by eight and George Seifert by 14. The upcoming game against the Broncos marks a poignant moment for Shanahan, as it is his first matchup against the team his father, Mike, coached to back-to-back Super Bowl victories in 1997 and 1998.
Despite leading the 49ers to two Super Bowl appearances, Kyle Shanahan currently lacks the ultimate championship win.
