India will face Pakistan in the Asian Games men’s cricket final at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, Japan, after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Pakistan, led by captain Sahibzada Farhan, sees this as their best opportunity to secure their first gold in the men’s event, having won their semi-final against Bangladesh.
The match is expected to be closely contested, with both teams relying heavily on spin bowling in the middle overs. India, the defending champions, will rely on Jasprit Bumrah’s attack and Ishan Kishan’s batting form, while Pakistan will hope to exploit any turn on the surface with the spin of Abrar Ahmed and Sufyan Moqim.
